SYNOPSIS Sandra, a fiercely independent woman in her fifties, suddenly finds herself sharing her life with her next-door neighbor and his two children. Against all odds, she gradually becomes attached to this adopted family.

Carine Tardieu French screenwriter, director, and writer. Born in Paris on 22 September 1973, Carine Tardieu developed an interest in literature and film at the age of 12. Her favourite books were those by Roald Dahl and fantasy novels in general. As a teenager, she went to the cinema every weekend with her father. She studied film at the École Supérieure de Réalisation Audiovisuelle in Paris. She has directed two short films and five feature films. Among other awards, she won the Best European Short Film Award at the Valladolid International Film Festival in 2003 for Les baisers des autres. Her latest feature film, L'Attachement, was selected for the Orizzonti section of the Venice Film Festival in 2024.
