SYNOPSIS Carmen is cornered. She has five days to repay a local loan shark, pushing her into the upscale part of the city in a desperate quest for money. Meanwhile, the sudden arrival of a supposed long-lost brother from Germany disrupts her already strained relationship with her mother, Dolores. As old family secrets emerge, Carmen faces an unexpected opportunity to escape her financial troubles.
Will this fractured family find a way to coexist in the face of Dolores’ darkest revelations?
Javier Rodriguez Espinosa
Graduated in Directing from the Escuela Superior de Cine y Audiovisuales de Cataluña, ESCAC, at the University of Barcelona. He completed his training with a scholarship at the EICTV in San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba. His short films have won 30 awards and have been selected at more than 150 international festivals. He has worked as a director in advertising, music videos, and live performances. He has also served as a script supervisor in top-tier Spanish fiction, collaborating with directors such as Miguel Albaladejo, Jota Linares, Paula Ortiz, and Laura Ferrés. In parallel, he is a directing professor at the Escuela Universitaria TAI in Madrid.
