SYNOPSIS Julia is his mother. All her life she worked as a hairdresser, but now she is retired. She spends the week cooking and doing her friends’ hair; however, her greatest joy is taking care of her grandson. She comes to visit him once a week and stays overnight. The morning after one of those nights, Julia says she thinks she has had a stroke. He doesn’t know what to say: he hugs her. Two weeks later, she shoots this film.
Javier García Lerín Was born in Mallorca in 1978, where he has worked as a director, screenwriter, and editor in film, television, music videos, and advertising, his multi-award-winning debut as a director, Els ulls s’aturen de créixer (2018), was described by the Filmin platform as the musical documentary of the year. He is currently preparing his second feature length documentary, La edad del Sol. Los días azules (2026) marks his first foray into short form cinematic storytelling.
