SYNOPSIS In Baja Verapaz, the Maya Poqomchi community of Renacimiento continues to resist the land dispossession that forced them from their territory in the 1990s. Today, a new generation is leading a collective struggle for justice, historical memory, and the restoration of their ancestral lands. The story of Renacimiento stands as a living testament to the resilience of Indigenous peoples and their tireless defense of land and life.
