SYNOPSIS Toni Lomas rose to fame after taking part in a successful talent show. He is now completely broke, with nothing to his name. His situation changes when Malena, a love from his past, puts him in touch with Junior, the son of a wealthy businessman, who wants him to steal a valuable painting from the family home. To pull off the heist, Toni recruits two allies: Mari and Gallego, forming a team in which each member is driven by their own interests. A Sucker's Born Every Minute is a biting satire of the human condition and contemporary society.
Arantxa Echevarría
She made her feature film debut in 2018 with
Carmen y Lola which received eight nominations at the 2019 Goya Awards and earned her the award for Best New Director. That same year, she was selected for the Directors’ Fortnight at the Cannes Film Festival, making Arantxa the first Spanish female director to achieve this. Her most recent projects include
