The Cine Albéniz and OXO Museo collaborate in the cycle ¡Qué grande es ser friki!
From April, the new commitment to geek culture offers monthly screenings of classic films such as Juegos de guerra, Encuentros en la tercera fase, Blade runner and Gremlins
Cine Albéniz and OXO Museo del Videojuego bring back to life the best films of the 70s and 80s with
¡Qué grande es ser friki!, a cycle created with the aim of celebrating the classic films that have been the basis of geek culture to enjoy them again on the big screen and analyse their value and influence on popular culture. The programme dedicated to these technology enthusiasts will screen a film one Wednesday a month from next April. The first confirmed titles are
Juegos de guerra ( 24th April),
Encuentros en la tercera fase (22nd May),
Blade runner (19th June) and
Gremlins (17th July).
In addition to the screening of the films, each film will be followed by a discussion with experts and guests moderated by Santiago Bustamante, cultural director of OXO Museo del Videojuego.
All the films in the cycle will be screened in their original version with Spanish subtitles. For those interested in living the experience, tickets are available from 6pm today at the ticket offices of the Cine Albéniz and the Teatro Cervantes and online at www.unientradas.es.
¡Qué grande es ser friki! is a project of OXO Museo Videojuego Málaga with the collaboration of Cine Albéniz, Málaga Procultura and the University of Málaga.

- 19th of June. Blade runner (1982, Ridley Scott)
- 17th of July. Gremlins (1984, Joe Dante)
All the films in the cycle will be screened at 7:00 pm at a general price of 6 euros (5 euros for Club Albéniz members).
