Twenty young filmmakers from eleven countries participate in Málaga Talent
Directors and crews presenting their latest films at the Festival de Málaga will give the four masterclasses

In its seventh edition, Málaga Talent welcomed 19 young filmmakers from eleven countries who will enjoy a full programme of training and activities so that they can acquire tools to develop their projects and create new professional networks. Málaga Talent is one of the sections of MAFIZ, the industry area of Festival de Málaga.

Four tutors, professionals of recognised prestige, will accompany them throughout the process: Anders Riis Hansen, film producer (Denmark); Yolanda Barrasa, screenwriter, script consultant and teacher (Spain); Andrés Bayona, director of the Bogotá International Film Festival (Colombia) and Paulo Roberto Carvalho , artistic director of Cine Latino, producer and teacher (Germany).

Participants will also be able to learn first-hand about the work of renowned professionals, thanks to the four masterclasses they will be able to enjoy during the Festival. They will all be offered by filmmakers participating in the Official Selection of the Festival de Málaga and are sponsored by DAMA.

The topics of the masterclasses sponsored by DAMA will be "Creative barriers in the production of debut films", by the Sorda team, with screenwriter and director Eva Libertad and producer Miriam Porté on 16 March at 10.30 am in the Rossini Hall of the Cervantes Theatre; "The challenge of a co-production" with screenwriter and director Belén Funes and producers Olmo Figueredo and Alba Bosch in collaboration with the Málaga Film School on 17 March at 10.30 am at the centre's headquarters; and "Creative influence of formats" by director and screenwriter Borja Cobeaga, who will present Los aitas out of competition, on 19 March at 11.00 am in the Rossini Hall of the Cervantes Theatre. Director, actor and producer Daniel Guzmán, who opens the Festival with La Deuda, will conclude the cycle with the masterclass "Fiction and reality, the need to tell stories", on 20 March at 10.00 am at the Technological Headquarters of the International University of Andalusia (UNIA), Port of Malaga.
