The MOSMA film music festival celebrates its tenth anniversary with two major concerts at the Cervantes Theatre on 25 and 26 October
The audiovisual music showcase will host the Jerry Goldsmith Awards on Friday 24th and will bring together great figures such as Éric Demarsan and Roque Baños

The tenth edition of Movie Score Málaga (MOSMA), the international festival of audiovisual music organised by Malaga City Council through Málaga Procultura , will take place from 24 to 26 October. In addition to concerts, we will once again enjoy meetings and round tables with great composers.

MOSMA 2025 will once again host the Jerry Goldsmith Awards and will hold two major concerts at the Cervantes Theatre in Malaga dedicated to audiovisual music with composers and pieces that have made history throughout its nine previous editions. Tickets for these concerts go on sale this evening (6 pm) at the Cervantes Theatre box office and online via Uniticket (www.unientradas.es).

On 24 October at the Echegaray Theatre (8 pm), the Jerry Goldsmith Awards return to Malaga and to MOSMA. The most prestigious and longest-running awards in the world of audiovisual music, presented annually by Film Music Festival, are now in their 14th year. The awards will be presented at this gala, enlivened with great film music —by Sergio de la Puente and Movie Score Málaga Assemblé— and musical tributes to composers who have left us recently, such as Mark Snow, Ryūichi Sakamoto and Vangelis. Admission will be free until full capacity is reached after collecting an invitation at the box office or online via Uniticket.

The winners of the Jerry Goldsmith Awards will open the MOSMA Meetings on Saturday 25th at 11 am in the Rossini Hall at the Cervantes Theatre, with free access until full capacity is reached. French composer Éric Demarsan will offer a talk there at 12.30 pm.

Live music will start at MOSMA on Saturday 25th at the Cervantes Theatre in Malaga (7 pm, single ticket price 20 euros) with the MOSMA 10th Anniversary Concert 1 featuring the Symphony Orchestra of Malaga and the Chamber Choir of Granada, conducted by Arturo Díez Boscovich and Joan Martorell. The festival celebrates its 10th anniversary with composers who are now part of its family. This will be the first of a series of symphonic concerts looking at the past, present and future of music for audiovisual media: film, television and video games.

It will include pieces composed by Arturo Díez Boscovich, Oscar Senen, Rob Westwood and Borislav Slavov. Guests from previous editions will also be present at this important anniversary with a video and a song specially selected by them. An unbeatable occasion to revisit some of the best tracks from these ten years of the festival and to première some of their current creations. This segment of the concert includes pieces by Kenji Kawai, Blake Neely, Leo Birenberg and Zach Robinson, Yasunori Mitsuda, John Debney, Gustavo Santaolalla, David Shire, Marc Shaiman, Richard Band, Jeff Beal – Pollock, Robert Folk, Christopher Lennertz, Sean Callery and Harold Faltermeyer.

On Sunday 26th we will start the day in the Rossini Hall at the Cervantes Theatre (12.30 pm, free access until full capacity is reached), with a meeting with composer Roque Baños.

Concert 2 will take place on Sunday evening at the Cervantes Theatre (7 pm, 20 euros, single price). MOSMA 10th Anniversary, again with the Symphony Orchestra of Malaga conducted by Arturo Díez Boscovich and Joan Martorell. It will include pieces by Eric DeMarsan, Joan Martorell, Sergio de la Puente, Luc Suárez, Roque Baños and a tribute to Lalo Schifrin.
