Festival de Málaga (organised by Malaga City Council), through its Industry Area MAFIZ, will once again take five Andalusian screenwriters to take part in the VS Guiones project organised and developed by Ventana Sur, to be held from 1 to 5 December 2025 in Buenos Aires (Argentina). The aim of this collaboration between Festival de Málaga and Ventana Sur is to include Andalusian talent in this event, through its screenwriters and their works, in order to develop a stronger and more solid Ibero-American cinematography in the international market. This initiative is supported by the Regional Ministry of Culture and Sport through the CreANDo programme run by the Andalusian Agency for Cultural Institutions (AAIICC).
VS Guiones is an initiative by Ventana Sur to give a diverse selection of scripts the chance to transcend borders and reach the international market. It is also an opportunity for producers and professionals from the rest of the world who are looking to connect with the creativity of Ibero-America without intermediaries. VS Guiones thus aims to promote the talent of the authors, an unavoidable first step in any film production.
Festival de Málaga has joined this project for the third year and, through a public call, has selected five feature-length fiction scripts. So, during the five days of Ventana Sur, the Andalusian audiovisual industry will have a prominent presence in one of the most strategic global markets with international buyers, sales agents, decision makers, investors, festival programmers, production companies and industry professionals. A unique opportunity to promote the internationalisation of the Andalusian audiovisual industry and to support the beginning of the film value chain: screenwriters and their scripts.
The selected scripts are:
