The sixth edition of Hack Málaga brings together twenty digital content creators from Spain and Latin America
The finalists will have the chance to work together on their projects while learning from prestigious professionals at their new headquarters, La Malagueta Cultural Centre
Twenty content creators from eleven countries will meet at the sixth edition of Hack Málaga, the Festival de Málaga talent laboratory. Part of MAFIZ, its industry area, this space was created to forge community where young people learn to tell stories with the depth of film and the power of digital.
For one week, La Malagueta Cultural Centre will be transformed into a laboratory of collective creation. There they will work in groups to combine the microfictions they have developed into a single universe, thus creating an audiovisual piece with infinite possibilities for growth.
Mentoring will also be offered by industry professionals (storytellers, producers, directors, AI specialists and CEOs of leading companies) and a talk by YouTube, among other activities. Finally, participants with a short film project will be able to present it at the pitch day together with the finalists of the RTVE Talent Festival de Málaga / Málaga Short Corner Award and participants of Málaga Talent who are also developing one.
A selection process was conducted to access this programme following an assessment of the microfiction projects by the candidates, the soundness of their scripts and their technical quality. The group of fifteen winners will be joined by five Argentinian creators, chosen in collaboration with the UBA and the INCAA, completing a cast of new voices that stands out for its international projection and creative diversity.
