Acoustic Home, the series that reveals the most intimate side of artists, premieres its fourth season
The premiere at the Festival de Málaga was attended by its director, Alexis Morante, and the artists Amaral, Arde Bogotá, Carolina Durante, and Edurne
The Festival de Málaga hosted the presentation of the fourth season of Acoustic Home this Saturday, 7 March. The series blends intimate interviews with artists with acoustic concerts in iconic locations across Spain. The series was screened this evening at the Albéniz cinema and forms part of the Series Out of Competition section.
The discussion following the screening, moderated by journalist Carlos Vázquez, was attended by Alexis Morante, the series director, and Marta Miramón, executive producer at Sony. Representing the artists featured in this new season were Amaral, Arde Bogotá, Carolina Durante, and Edurne.
Alexis Morante expressed that through these types of productions, a special connection with the artists can be shown, “despite only being with them for two days”. Martín Vallhonrat, for his part, says it feels like being in “another movie” because what's missing from the recorded concerts is the audience.
Edurne, whose episode was filmed in a church, affirms that this series allows them to sing in “settings that would otherwise be impossible” and that the location was very “magical”. Eva Amaral confesses that she loves “the soundcheck moments” and that it's somewhat similar to what's filmed in the series.
Juan Aguirre, however, disagrees with his fellow artists and says that he imagined his own audience. Diego Ibáñez states that they don't “rehearse the songs” and that it was just like any other concert. José Ángel Mercader, regarding the show in his episode, pays homage to Cartagena and says that there is an artistic “feedback” in that city. His bandmate, Dani Sánchez, has learned that "you have to rehearse a lot" for things to go so well.
Producer Marta Miramón asserts that streaming platforms need more music-related content. She also highlighted the production challenges the series presented.
The success of this series format has made this fourth season possible, featuring ten new faces from the Spanish and Portuguese music scene: Fito Páez, Amaral, Antonio Orozco, Arde Bogotá, Rigoberta Bandini, Edurne, Carolina Durante, Carminho, MARO and Natalia Lacunza.
This time, Andalusia will provide the backdrop for the personal stories of these artists, who will share their experiences through their music. Each episode directly connects the artist's story to the place where they perform.
