The 29th Festival de Málaga, organised by Malaga City Council through Malaga Procultura, will hold its closing gala tomorrow at the Cervantes Theatre, bringing to a close ten days dedicated to Spanish-language cinema, during which the city has once again become a meeting point for creators, industry professionals, and audiences.
The ceremony will be hosted by journalist Elena Sánchez and broadcaster Masi Rodríguez, who will lead an evening in which the winners of the Official Competition will be announced and the festival's main Biznagas will be presented, recognising the best films and professionals of this edition.
Music will also play a leading role during the gala, with performances by the Murcia-based group Viva Suecia, one of the most prominent bands on the Spanish indie scene; the Malaga-born singer Pasión Vega, who will provide one of the most moving moments of the evening; and the musical offerings of Tony Grox and Lucycalys, who will complete the artistic programme of the ceremony.
The closing gala will thus bring to a close an edition that, in recent days, has filled Malaga with film, audience meetings, premieres, and activities related to Spanish-language audiovisual media.
With this ceremony, the 29th Festival de Málaga will conclude an edition that has once again reaffirmed its role as one of the main showcases for Spanish-language cinema and as a space for celebration and encounter within film culture.
