The 29th Festival de Málaga held two new Special Sessions this Saturday with the presentation of Secretos de Dublin (Secrets of Dublin) and Kraken: el libro negro de las horas (Kraken: The Black Book of Hours), which took place at the Cine Albéniz and the Echegaray Theatre, respectively, in two events attended by the film crews and a notable response from the audience.
At the Cine Albéniz, a packed auditorium welcomed the Secretos de Dublín team, headed by Pedro Carrillo, director, producer and star of the project. He was joined by the actresses Gema García, Alba M. Baena and Micaela Grieco, and the actor Alez Tahmazyan. During the presentation, the young filmmaker thanked the team and the audience, highlighting the effort involved in making the film, and underlining the work and involvement of all the people who took part in the project.
Meanwhile, the Echegaray Theatre hosted the presentation of Kraken: el libro negro de las horas. The event was attended by the directors Manuel Sanabria and Joaquín Llamas, as well as the actor Alejo Sauras and the actresses Natalia Rodríguez and Aitziber Luma. Also in attendance were Bárbara Vayá and Juliana Barrera, producers of the project, and José Luis Povedano, distributor.
During the presentation, Manuel Sanabria expressed his gratitude for the collaborative work that made the project possible: "We would like to thank the production companies and the cast". Joaquín Llamas pointed out that the main aim is for the work to connect with the audience: "The hard part is done. This is a great audiovisual product that makes us escape from everything that is happening in the world”.
