Málaga Festival selects 26 projects in MAFF, Industry event to be held from March 21 to 25
Today begins its Learning & Training, an online training program in which various experts address the state of the audiovisual sector.

Málaga Festival has selected the projects that will participate in MAFF (Malaga Festival Fund & Co Production Event) , an event that is part of the Industry area MAFIZ (Malaga Festival Industry Zone) and that in this edition returns to its on-site format thanks the better health circumstances during this period of the conoravirus pandemic. MAFF will be held from March 21st to 25th, 2022 within the framework of the 25th Malaga Festival. Within this event begins today the Learning & Training program, in which its participants will have online access to workshops, masterclasses, and meetings with experts that we have convocated to address different aspects about how to implement an audiovisual project from its conception to its presentation and communication (programs of talks and meetings). MAFF is organized by Malaga Town Hall and Malaga Festival in collaboration with ICAA (Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts), CAACI (Conference of Audiovisual and Cinematographic Authorities of Ibero-America), IBERMEDIA, FIPCA (Ibero-American Federation of Film and Audiovisual Producers) and EAVE (European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs). MAFF is conceived as a communication space that facilitates dialogue between Latin American and European film producers, in a co-production and market meeting. It is a scenario that promotes the projects’ artistic growth, international co-production, networking and increases their chances of being financed. MAFF brings together in an unprecedented way the main international co-production financing funds that exist at an international level in one place, Malaga. MAFF, which celebrates its fifth edition in 2022, has the following objectivess: • To be the communication and networking platform of reference, where those responsible for the funds can meet and get to know the projects that are being developed in their early stages. • Promote innovation in business and production models for new feature films with international co-production potential, for subsequent distribution and commercialization in different markets and through different modalities. • To provide high-level creative, economic, and financial advice to generate viable and quality audiovisual projects that facilitate their insertion in the world market and thus contribute to generating international presence. • Include new players in the audiovisual industry in our platform and create new content closer to new audiences.
