SYNOPSIS An intimate meditation on life and death, interweaving personal experiences with reflections on the human relationship with nature,
Level is structured as a diptych. The film starts in the Netherlands, where Anna mourns her father amidst the open landscapes and dikes. It ends in Spain, where Anna and Carlos welcome their son Leo and renovate a historic house in the mountains. Merging documentary and experimental forms, Level becomes a portrait of landscapes as palimpsests, layers of history and memory intertwining with the rhythms of life.
