5 minutos de cine presents the trailer of RTVE Play's docuseries 'Lucía en la telaraña II', a 'tough' but 'attractive to watch' story
The space dedicated to upcoming audiovisual projects presents the miniseries produced by RTVE Play, consisting of two chapters
The 5 minutos de cine section began this afternoon in the University of Malaga’s Rectory in order to present new titles that will be released in this 27th edition of the Festival de Málaga and whose purpose is to show previews of projects that are in various stages of production and hold a meeting about them.
The first session at 5:00 pm was for 'Lucía en la telaraña II', a continuation of the docuseries that was presented three years ago and that has had a great reception and impact, since it deals with a real issue such as the murder of Lucía Garrido in the town called Alhaurín de la Torre and all the corruption scheme that has been hidden behind it.
In the meeting, a trailer of this second part of 'Lucía en la telaraña', which consists of two 45-minute chapters, was shown and was attended by Adolfo Moreno, assistant director; Sofía Urwitz, co-director; Ignacio Carrasco, former guardsman and one of the main voices; Patricia Alonso and Alberto Fernández, executive producer and director, respectively, of RTVE Play, which, like the first part, has produced this sequel.
As its deputy director remarked, it is a 'judicial thriller' in which 'a very tough story is attractive to watch'. The plot revolves around a trial which puts an end to a true story that 'could become better fiction than anything written by a scriptwriter', as Sofía Urwitz assured.
The most moving moment of the colloquium was when Ignacio Carrasco took the floor to highlight that it is time to do ‘a kind of justice that is scarce in our country’. The former guardsman, one of the most important figures involved in the investigation of the case, emphasized the importance of the seventh art as a weapon “with more power than other branches” to demand that justice must be done. At the same time, both Fernández and Alonso highlighted the “ease and pride of doing their bit” in this project.
